About Us – Marvel Five’s History

Marvel Five Investments Ltd has been in existence for more than 20 years.

We heard and felt the agonizing cry of Kenyan school girls missing 1.5 months or more of school every year. They stayed at home during their menstrual periods. This was because they couldn’t afford sanitary towels/ sanitary pads when menstruating. It caused them to significantly fall behind in their school studies. This fueled Marvel Five’s passion to get into the sanitary care business in order to provide affordable, high quality sanitary towels/ sanitary pads.

Unlike other sanitary pad manufacturers and companies at that time, we sold our sanitary pads at affordable, pocket friendly prices. This positively revolutionized affordability in the entire Kenyan sanitary pad industry.

After Marvel Five introduced the sanitary pads, we learnt that a vast number of Kenyan girls did not even know how to use them. Therefore, the company started an sanitary care and hygiene education program. We visit and teach the Kenyan girl child in upper primary schools located in rural areas. Marvel Five teaches them about reproductive health, hygiene and how to use sanitary pads. The company concentrated on these areas because we found that rural areas were the most neglected and ignored areas. Therefore, they had and still have the greatest need.

With time, we realized there was a growing need to provide high quality, affordable baby care diapers. In response to this, Marvel Five introduced our baby care products. These are: Marvel Baby Diapers and more recently, (in response to customer demand) Marvel Baby Wipes.

Eventually, Marvel Five discovered another heart rending need. Our hearts went out to the people we found suffering silently with the inability to control their bowel movements. Some due to being handicapped, ill or getting along in age. Our hearts also went out to their carers/ care providers. In response to this, we introduced excellent quality, economically friendly adult care products: Comfrey Adult Diapers, Comfrey Adult Pants and Comfrey Hygienic Bed Pads. These adult care products help enhance the quality of life and reduce stress for those affected and as well as those who take care of them. They are Kenya’s best and favourite adult care products; the number one adult diapers, adult pants and bed pads in Kenya.

From just one sanitary health care product in 2004, Marvel Five Investments Ltd now supplies several sanitary health care products. These include: Marvel Girl Sanitary Pads, Marvel Girl Super Absorbent Sanitary Pads, Marvel Girl Panty Liners, Sunny Girl Sanitary Pads, Sunny Girl Long Sanitary Pads, Marvel Baby Diapers, Marvel Baby Wipes, Sunny Girl Skin Care Wipes, Comfrey Adult Diapers, Comfrey Adult Pants (Pull-Ups/ Underwear) and Comfrey Hygienic Bed Pads.

All of Marvel Five’s products are made to and tested against high quality standards. They are all tested and approved by the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS).
